June Custom Countdown!

Welcome WF'ers and WF onlookers, to the return of the Custom Countdown! Tonight we will countdown the best 10 Customs of June 2005! With the help of our Forum Community, I have been able to select this months countdown. Enjoy the countdown...

------------------------------

1. M2K's Austin Aries

This figure is one which in my opinion should have made the Countdown last month. It is of the former ROH Champion Austin Aries and perfectly displaying his trademark "Personal Jesus" pose. This figure is so perfectly done in my opinion, it is an example of perfection. The modification to a boring and plain TTL Steve Blackman torso is almost perfect for Aries as is the detail work. The skintone blending portrays quite a similar skintone to Aries and is once again downright perfect. This will be a favorite for years to come. 10/10.

2. NBT's A.J. Styles

Again a highly detailed and creative figure. The tights have been painted quite well as the logos seem to be perfect. I love the torso modifications which almost convey the standard Cruserweight torso as a Heavyweight one. The skintone makes this figure all the more lifelike. The head is not the greatest to be used for him, but considering its originality and the fact that it was almost entirely sculpted I feel it works just fine. 3. Warrior3's Hollywood Hulk Hogan

This figure is incredibly detailed from head to toe. It is exactly the paintjob that you would envision in your dreams. The film strip on the sides of the rights are done to perfection not to mention the skintone being near perfect as well. We hope only to see more from this incredibly talented up and comer, to view more pics of his work you can do so by clicking the below link.

4. Snotboy's Customs' King Mabel

This figure is a pleasure indeed. Although the wrestling of the event has been recently immortalized into the Wrestlecrap Hall of Fame, we have the pleasure to see King Mabel in action figure form. This figure is particularly hard to do considering the lack of parts available to make such a big man. Snotboy here did it to perfection adding such details as a cape and a crown. All the clothing as well as the parts choice work fantastically, congratulations on your first entry in the Customs Countdown!

5. Me Gusta Guster's Owen Hart

Guster used this figure earlier in the month in CEF's "1 Month Stand" Tournament. In this tournament, he managed to advance all the way up to the semi-finals because of this phenomenal work. The singlet is done to perfection with all the detail work clean and neat. The jacket adds a nice addition to an already stellar figure. My personal favorite part of the figure would be the head modifications. I would like all you readers to look at the standard issue Taz real scan and then see what work went into this figure to make it look like Owen Hart. This figure has already gone up to 400$ on ebay and we can wish Guster the best of luck. Truly excellent, and congratulations on working your way up in the Countdown. 6. jsh's Hayabusa

This figure could be the one breakout figure by JSH we have been waiting for. Everything is crisp and smooth. The pants, almost a full sculpt portray an excellent look to them as they are both realistic and cartoonish at the same time. The mask is nicely molded and the armbands are painted quite neatly. I love how the sash flows down the pants legs, it works quite well. My only one qualm would be a bit of a thick elbowpad on the figure's left arm. Aside from that, congrats on making quite the excellent figure.

7. Kollecting King's Mikey Whipwreck

This figure came up just a tad bit short in the CEF tourney earlier this month. This however was a great effort from KK, and honestly I beleive it to be his best. Although the circles are a bit lopsided I feel the figure was done quite well. The shirt could have been better utilized in plastic however I understand frustration in painting fabric. The Chavo head works however could have had fatter cheeks. Congrats on making the Countdown!

8. K-N-H’s Jay Lethal

This figure is an excellent and simple figure. It features fully painted skintone (which is a rareity today) and nicely molded hair. The white attire of Jay’s is honestly one of my recent favorites and it was painted oh so cleanly. Its only points it misses is perhaps its simplicity but it is great to see a newer customizer make something this quality. Congrats K-N-H on making the Countdown!

9. skribbel24’s Demolition

These two figure I feel are a premonition of what we are to see in a latter CS two pack set. These figures are quite clean and the heads are almost dead on. Their simplicity does hurt them in the rankings, however they are both solid. Congrats on making the Custom Countdown!

10. TxR's B.J. Whitmer

This figure, TxR's newest creation to date is extremely simple yet effective. TxR bases his figures around getting them as close as possible to a Jakks made figure and has received quite the following for it. This Whitmer is done quite nicely as the Benoit head works wonders for his facial features. The hairpeice selected works as well. Due to the lack of overall modification, it has bumped TxR a bit down in the countdown. We expect once he returns to making figure regularly he will once again be on top.
